Mist & Stone is a conceptual wellness retreat set along the coast of Pacifica, California, inspired by the intersection of Scandinavian wellness traditions and the natural character of the Northern California coast. The design explores wellness as an everyday ritual, creating an environment that encourages restoration, connection, and a slower, more intentional experience.

Guided by principles of environmental psychology and human-centered design, the retreat uses natural light, organic forms, tactile materials, and a warm, mineral-inspired palette to create a sense of calm throughout. Spaces for thermal and hydrotherapy, treatment, movement, mindfulness, nourishment, and social connection are thoughtfully woven together, with connections to the surrounding landscape reinforcing the relationship between interior experience and nature. Every element is considered not only for how it looks, but for how it can shape the way people feel, move, and experience the space.
