Meet Our Owner:
Jay Sylvester
Hi! I’m Jay Sylvester, an interior designer and the founder of Jay Sylvester Interiors, where I bring a thoughtful, functional, and highly personal approach to the spaces I design. My experience spans residential and commercial design, from independently designing homes to creating spaces that support the way people live, work, and connect. I love taking an idea from its earliest stages and transforming it into an environment that feels beautiful, intentional, and functional.
I earned my degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University’s CIDA-accredited program in Flagstaff, Arizona, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. My education gave me a strong technical and creative foundation, while my hands-on design experience has continued to shape the way I approach each project. Starting my own design business has allowed me to build on that foundation, working directly with clients and bringing together creativity, problem-solving, and the practical details that turn a vision into a finished space.
Outside of design, I’m a mom to two wonderful little ones—my adventurous 4-year-old son and sweet 2-year-old daughter—and I’m lucky to share life’s adventures with my high school sweetheart and husband. Our days are often filled with outdoor adventures like hiking, biking, and camping. I spend my personal time doing yoga, Pilates, barre, and cycling classes.
As someone who is part Japanese, Chilean, and American, I draw inspiration from cultural heritage, natural surroundings, and meaningful experiences. Whether I’m designing for a client or dreaming up a space of my own, I find so much fulfillment in creating environments that feel authentic to the people who use them and enhance the way they experience everyday life.
Let’s Create Something Meaningful.
